Getting Back To Business
Recovering from a disaster is a lot easier with a business insurance policy. Your business insurance can assist in paying for additional expenses it may cost you to run your business from a different, albeit temporary location. If your business cannot be run at all after a disaster, a business interruption insurance claim can be filed if your policy covers this.
If your business is badly damaged, there are things you can do while waiting for assistance from your business insurance company. If you have stock or inventory, you can separate damaged stock from undamaged stock. Cleaning up as much as you can will help, but be sure to keep any damaged equipment to show to your insurance claims adjuster. If you have lost power it can be helpful to install a generator or already have a backup generator on the premises.
Taking proactive steps can help your business insurance claim process run much more smoothly. The sooner you can get your business back up and running, the better.
