Review Your Annuity
Retirement planners often have a diversified investment portfolio. Annuities are a great addition to a retirement plan. They feature a guaranteed stream of income during your lifetime for either a specific period of time or the remainder of your life.
It is a good idea to review your annuity contract from time to time. Most financial experts recommend that you review all of your investments at least once every year. An annual review of your annuity will ensure that all information is up to date. If you experience a major life change, you should take a look at your contract. Some of these life changes could include:
- Marriage
- Divorce
- Birth of a child
- Serious illness
- Starting a new business
Talk to your financial advisor to find out how these changes may affect your long term plans and financial goals.
