Why Buy Disability Insurance?

Many people do not realize that they can insure a portion of their income. If you become sick, injured or ill, you may be unable to work for an extended period of time. Have you considered how you would support yourself if you were unable to work? If you know that certain conditions run in your family you may especially want to look at a disability insurance policy.

Even if your employer provides some sort of disability coverage, it will not replace more than 60 percent of your income, maybe less. Do you have enough savings to get by on a partial salary? A disability insurance policy to supplement your employer's could get you an additional percentage of your income. You will never be able to replace 100 percent of your income. The purpose of this is to motivate a policyholder/employee to return to work.

If you are interested in a disability insurance policy you can input your information into the online form and be matched with disability insurance representatives from various providers in your area.
